From Miamah: I enjoyed meeting and talking with you in Mexico City. You have a beautiful voice!! I've always wondered, with all the instruments, etc., what do you actually hear when you are singing on stage? You do a great job of staying on key. Do you hear Chayanne (or whoever you're working with) or only the music? I can't quite tell if you have something in your ear that you are listening to... Thanks, Miamah
Ral Replies: Thank you for the compliments! Each musician has his or her own monitor. Which means that we can set-up what we want to hear. Of course, we ask the monitor engineer (Joe) to adjust the volume and which instrument or voice we would like to hear. Everyone sets it up differently. I like the voices up front plus Chayanne and the band a little softer. Yes, we use ear monitors. Thanks and hope I answered your questions.
