Chayanne will be featured in lots of magazines over the next few months. The media blitz is timed to coincide with the release of his new CD, Simplemente. One of the first interviews is in Latina Magazine's October 2000 issue, and you can read it (and look at the pictures) at the La Isla de Chayanne News Stand.

Don Francisco, Chayanne, Ana Bárbara to make history
Don Francisco, Chayanne and Ana Bárbara will live forever. At least, all three celebrities will soon have everlasting stars on the Calle Ocho Walk of Fame, in Miami, in recognition to their contribution to a better understanding between Hispanics and mainstream USA. “We’re planning to unveil the Don Francisco star in December, which will be followed by the Chayanne and Ana Bárbara stars in January and February respectively,” said Guido Rodriguez Bustamante, president of a non-profit 10-member committee that is in charge of issuing the coveted stars.

From Chayanne's office on September 21: "The Latin Explosion for which CHAYANNE did an interview will air on Sunday, between 2 - 3 in New York on WABC and on KCAL in Los Angeles and WCVB in Boston. It will air in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale on WSDN in October. I will give you the date as soon as I have it. It will air on Tuesday in El Paso on KTFM and KQWB. It aired in San Francisco and Chicago last weekend."

But we can already see they have plans for music, videos, news, photos, a chat room, biography, and merchandise, the last being something that the U.S. fans are starving for. Keep in mind that Chayanne will visit Daisy in Argentina in October, as she posted on Sept. 4: "Hi girls, I had the confirmation of Chayanne's visit to my country last weekend.
