“CHARY AND CHAYANNE ALONE”

-CHARYTIN AND CHAYANNE ARE SITTING ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER ON WHITE CHAIRS. THERE IS A POSTER OF THE SINCERO CD COVER ON THE WALL-

CHARYTIN: Chayanne, your new album, SINCERO; I loved the title because it describes you.

CHAYANNE: No, Chary, thank you very much. I’m very excited with this album; I’m very excited. There are a lot of nice things about it, and it was done with passion; it was done with love; with a lot of nervousness, hoping people will like it, because that is my reason for working.

CHARYTIN: Chayanne’s career has been very consistent. I’ve known him since he was little. Since he was a little boy….

CHAYANNE: Yes, that’s true!

CHARYTIN: So, then, I’ve seen you free of scandals; without any problems with anybody. That is wonderful.

CHAYANNE: One tries…one tries. There are many obstacles, many pebbles that you stumble upon on the road; or situations in life. But I’m a very positive person and I try to go around the obstacles. But there are many things that have happened to me that are not seen. Periods of time that are like an abyss, due to separations; situations that have occurred in my career that later on make you think and then, because of the dedication and the love you have for what you do, you are able to rise anew. But I’m doing great.

CHARYTIN: Many things have happened during the last few days; there’s been a lot of scandal regarding an artist very dear to us, Lucero. What do you think, Chayanne, about all this that has happened with her; her declarations; the comments that she was a little aggressive; the media. What do you think about all that?

-IMAGES OF LUCERO ARE SHOWN. (SHE’S A FAMOUS YOUNG MEXICAN SINGER AND ACTRESS ABOUT WHOM AN UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT DEVELOPED AFTER ONE OF HER PRESENTATIONS IN THE THEATRE. THE MEDIA AND A COUPLE OF HER SECURITY PEOPLE HAD A SERIOUS CONFRONTATION AND ONE OF THE BODY GUARDS PULLED OUT A FIRE ARM AND POINTED IT TOWARDS THE MEDIA. SHE WAS CRITIZED BECAUSE AT FIRST SHE DEFENDED THE BODY GUARD. SHE LATER ADMITTED SHE DIDN’T HAVE ALL THE DETAILS OF THE INCIDENT AND SHOULD HAVE WAITED BEFORE MAKING ANY STATEMENTS IN EITHER DIRECTION-

CHAYANNE: First of all, I think she’s a delightful person. I’ve known her since we were little and we started in the music business together. It had to have been something very, very difficult, this situation she went through, and very, very serious for her to have reacted that way, because she’s a delightful person, very sweet and she will continue being a delightful person. It is simply that she went through a very delicate moment.

CHARYTIN: You know that recently, the planet Mars has been in the news. That is closer to earth now that ever….If anyone told you, “Chayanne, you’re on your way to Mars…..”

CHAYANNE: I’ll go with you!

CHARYTIN: ….to give a concert. What would Chayanne sing on Mars?

CHAYANNE: I don’t know. In Mars….I guess I would begin with Un Siglo Sin Tí…..to start slowly….nothing violent!

CHARYTIN: What have you said to you wife that you have never told anyone in your life?

CHAYANNE: I call her…..for example, I don’t call her by her name….I call her G-A-T-O, and then…..

CHARYTIN: That’s where I was headed! She’s Gato, then….!

CHAYANNE: Yes, she is.

-CHARYTIN LAUGHS AND DROPS THE SUBJECT-

CHARYTIN: Artists of your generation…..for example, Luis Miguel, Ricky Martin…..

CHAYANNE: Yes. We have nice chance meetings. I met Christian Castro in Argentina, and there is always a lot of affection. Also with Luis Miguel, since we know each other since we were very young, and whom I haven’t seen in a long time. There also Eros Ramazzotti or Ricky, whom I saw here in Miami and we had seen each other in Italy before. But we see each other around…..

CHARYTIN: And the young talent you see around….what’s his name….Shalim…..David Bisbal….

-CHAYANNE LAUGHS WHEN HE HEARS CHARYTIN REFER TO SHALIM IN THAT MANNER- CHAYANNE FINDS THIS FUNNY, BECAUSE SHALIM HAPPENS TO BE CHARYTIN’S SON AND IS A YOUNG SINGER WHO’S JUST BEGINNING HIS CAREER-

CHAYANNE: What’s his name? Shalim? That’s beautiful! I wonder who gave birth to him?

-THEY SHOW IMAGES OF SHALIM AND DAVID BISBAL-

CHAYANNE: Shalim is delightful and I also met Bisbal…..he’s very nice. And, as I’ve said…..I wish all of the them the best of luck.

CHARYTIN: Now, I want to have the opportunity to say…..”Chayanne told me something that he has never, in the entire world, said to anyone!” Tell me something you have never told anyone!

CHAYANNE: Something I have never told anyone……

CHARYTIN: Yes, so I can say you told me something you’ve never told anyone!

-CHAYANNE TAKES A FEW SECONDS TO THINK AND THEN RESPONDS-

CHAYANNE: Well….I have already told you that I love you, so I can’t say that to you…..

CHARYTIN: Something, Chayanne…..

CHAYANNE: Something…..something…..something…..!

-HE THEN LOOKS TOWARDS THE CAMERA AND LAUGHING, HE SAYS-

CHAYANNE: I have moles in my body!

CHARYTIN: This is for our people….what you demanded to know! First, how does Chayanne sleep?

CHAYANNE: I sleep with the sheets; with my eyes closed, and very happy.

CHARYTIN: Second, from one to ten, how is Chayanne as a lover?

CHAYANNE: The only thing I know….is that I give all of myself! But, I don’t know…..

CHARYTIN: Last question…..I know…..we have to go. What size shoe do you wear…..I’m asking for the public!

CHAYANNE: I ‘m a size 11 ½.

-CHAYANNE LOOKS AT HIS FEET-

CHAYANNE: Thank you very much; it was my pleasure.

CHARYTIN: You’re a beautiful example for our youth.
